This is a review of the Dualit 75015 Coffee Grinder
So you’ve decided, quite rightly, that it’s time to move on from pre-ground coffee to the very different world of freshly ground beans? That’s a good decision. You’ll experience far more flavour and aroma from the beans you buy, even if they’re the same brand as the pre-ground coffee you buy. Coffee starts to lose its flavour immediately after grinding and how long ago were those packaged pre-ground coffees in a grinder? I dread to think.
This high quality grinder is now has a REDUCED PRICE Dualit 75015 Coffee Grinder
If you’re on the hunt for a budget coffee grinder then this Dualit 75015 might be worth looking into. It’s got a great design to it and is very simple to use with a 250g hopper capacity. Dualit has a good reputation and a large following. They tend to produce good-looking kitchen appliances without huge price tags and the products can be found all around the world.
With only ten grind settings, this bean grinder is mainly good for French Press coffee and sadly doesn’t have the fineness or consistency needed for excellent espressos. Try the Baratza Virtuoso Coffee Grinder for this. If you have a high quality espresso machine and are looking for a good crema and an incredible taste, this isn’t the machine that going to get you there.
When it comes to good coffee, a great grinder is better than a great espresso machine. Saying that, if it’s a decent French Press you’re after and you’re not too keen on the idea of spending over a hundred, this could be a gentle way to ease you into grinding your own beans.
Easy to use
The dosing selection is reasonably effective and means that there shouldn’t be large quantities of wasted grounds. The controls are very simple and easy to use and it’s not particularly noisy either. The burrs may not be good enough quality to grind effectively as time goes on and this is a compromise when it comes to budget grinders – you do pay for what you get and grinders are, unfortunately, expensive items.
The conical burrs are removable and relatively easy to clean as are the other removable sections. It seems fairly robust and looks good on the work surface. Dualit have a great reputation in the kitchen world and if it’s budget you want then this is a good place to be, better than the De’Longhi budget grinders but not as good as the Baratza Encore.
